About Me

Hi, I'm Anders, a Unity Game and Web Developer from Germany. I started dreaming of making my own games during my time in school and have been using the Unity Game Engine for more than a decade to make that dream a reality. More recently, I have taken up web development to create full-stack applications using various tools. My preferred stack is Next.js and React for frontend applications, along with Node.js for the backend.I am currently studying computer science at RWTH Aachen University. As a student worker at the WZL-IQS institute, I have been able to work on a wide range of different projects over the years, where I have been the main developer for anything Unity or Web related inside of our group.Apart from programming, I am also passionate about art and music creation and incorporate these interests into my projects whenever possible.

Projects

Level Architect
Level Architect is currently my main project. This Mario Maker-inspired 2D platformer lets players create their own levels and share them online. Movement is optimized for mobile devices: the player moves constantly in one direction and only turns around upon hitting a wall. This design enables complex movement while simplifying the input to a single action—jumping.
The game is in the closed testing phase and the release on Android and iOS is planned for early 2026.

Core Tasks

  • Implemented a full-fledged Level Editor
  • Created 2D platform player controller from scratch
  • Programmed custom NodeJS backend for level sharing
Level Architect Website

Out Of Steam VR
Out Of Steam is a movement based VR game set in Space. It was created within 1 week for the Game Dev Week of the Uni Trier in a Team of 4 people. We later showed off our game at the Indie Game Fest in Cologne.

Core Tasks

  • Implemented the VR zero gravity movement
  • Created custom physics interactions (picking up objects, pulling levers, etc. )

Preview Image of the Holo Whitebaord in the Unity Engine
Holo Whitebaord
Holo Whitebaord is a project created for the Axiom Holographics Hologram Table for displaying 3D models and animations in Mixed Reality. Models can be moved, scaled, rotated and interacted with in various other ways. All changes are synchronised online through a custom backend and are accessible on multiple devices both in Mixed Reality and on flatscreen devices. The application is being used during lectures for Mining and Medicine.

Core Tasks

  • Interaction system to position 3D objects (moving, scaling, rotating)
  • Advanced interactions (3D drawings, comments, annotations, etc. )
  • Support for for XR and non-XR devices.
  • NodeJS backend to synchronise changes in real time and host 3D model files

Social Recruiter Prototype
This web-app is a prototype for a social recruiting agency for collecting leads on interested applicants. The app uses firebase in the backend complete with realtime database, account system, file hosting, etc.

Core Tasks

  • Designing and implementing and a fluid frontend experience
  • Working with Firebase backend services
